Hot Tub Covers Frequently asked questions
Q. Our new hot tub was just installed, how long must we wait
before we can enjoy it?
A. After the chemicals are added the water must circulate for at least
twenty minutes and then checked to make sure all the levels are correct.
If the levels are at the proper levels and the temperature is comfortable
then it’s ok to get in. If the levels must be adjusted then another
twenty minutes for the water to circulate and be retested must be allowed.
Q. Are inflatable or portable hot tubs as good as the hard-shelled
models?
A. For those looking for an inexpensive alternative an inflatable hot
tub may be the way to go. Keep in mind however that these tubs are not
as durable, hold only two to four people, and may not stay warm for
longer than thirty minutes.
Q. What maintenance can I perform myself and what should I
call a repair man for?
A. Weekly chemical checks and filter replacements can be done by you.
Problems with the pump, the electrical, or the heating element should
be addressed by a professional.
